"House Dog Rules"

We will be creating two groups -  The Big House Dogs (over 50 pounds) and The Little House Dogs (under 50 pounds).  The Big House Dogs will be staying inside the Gymnasium with the heaters on at night.  The Little House Dogs will  stay in the house where it is warm.

The charge for  indoor boarding will be $30 per night per dog.  House dog boarders will be allowed to roam with other house dog boarders during the day. House dogs will sleep in crates they bring from home or that are provided by the kennel.  All house dogs will be taken out for a  final potty break at 10 p.m. They will be let out in the morning around 6 a.m.

Only suitable dogs are eligible for House Dog Boarding.  Only dogs that have been spayed or neutered can be house dogs during this busy holiday time. House dogs must not be destructive and should  be house broken. They must  be socialized and enjoy the companionship of other dogs.  Dogs that like to mount other dogs do not make good house dogs and we suggest that they stay in separate enclosures for safety reasons. All house dogs must be  clean, healthy and free of fleas and ticks, as well as be on a flea and tick prevention program.

If a dog is signed up to be a "House Dog" and cannot get along with the other "House Dogs", we will, at our discretion, move the dog to a more comfortable situation for everyone-which may be an outside run during the day and an inside heated enclosure during the night. The charge will not be changed if such a situation occurs.

Please  bring a carrier only if you prefer to use your own, a leash, and special diet if necessary. With all the stimulation from the other dogs, we have found that dogs who bring their own toys and belongings from home are often not interested in them here at the kennel.  Personal toys can also cause behavior problems in a group setting.

House Dogs may need to be placed in carriers  when medications are administered and at meal time to assure that they are fed the correct type and amount of food.
